IRON NEST Patch 1.0 (1577) Brings Fixes, Performance Boosts, and a Sales Milestone

Patch 1.0 (1577) Overview

IRON NEST has received its first major update since launch, addressing several community-reported bugs and improving overall performance. The patch is now live on Steam.

Fixes

  • Mouse cursor no longer disappears after tabbing out during intros, cinematics, or scene transitions.
  • Mission events now reset correctly when replaying the same mission.
  • Turret position and movement reset properly between missions.
  • Excessive log spam from interactions and other systems has been reduced.
  • Fixed Russian, Spanish, and Polish mission localization errors.
  • Spotters in Blindfire are no longer off-centre.

Improvements

  • Better error detection and reporting to help identify future issues.
  • Random crashes on some systems have been fixed.
  • Reduced RAM and VRAM usage.
  • Updated crater visuals.
  • Further reduced excessive log spam.

Additions & Removals

  • Added a stopwatch horizontal offset setting for ultrawide monitors.
  • Removed the chromatic aberration post-processing effect from the pause menu.

Community Update

Over a quarter million players have bought IRON NEST in just a few days. The developers thank the community and confirm they are already working on new Skirmish Modes. They also point players to the Steam FAQ thread and official Discord for questions about console ports, VR, multiplayer, and other future plans. A special thank-you video and track, originally made for the 400,000 wishlist milestone, was shared as well.
